The support from Indiana Fever fans was felt during their recent homestand with sold-out tickets.
There’s no denying that Indiana has been one of the biggest markets in basketball, and proof of this is how fans consistently watch their games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Fever has been a major recipient of this love and support, and they excitedly shared the news of packed attendance.
“three straight sellouts”, the team’s social media announced. “three straight wins. thanks to the best fans in the @WNBA 🔥” the X post read.
Indiana reciprocated the support by winning their games during this stretch with an average margin of 19.3 points. They defeated the Seattle Storm (110-107), the New York Liberty (108-88) and the Connecticut Sun (123-88).
There were also a couple of historic milestones that Indiana achieved during this stretch. First, Caitlin Clark became the first player in WNBA history to record 45 points and 10 assists against the Storm on Friday in a comeback win.
Then, Kelsey Mitchell went off against New York with her 33-point output on Saturday, while Clark and Aliyah Boston added 17 points and 15 points, respectively.
In the same game against the Liberty, their prized rookie Raven Johnson also achieved 100 WNBA career points.
Finally, the trio of Clark, Mitchell and Aliyah Boston ran through the Sun with 27, 23 and 22 points, respectively, on their way to a franchise record of 123 points.
The Fever’s current win streak sees them enter the All-Star break with a 17-10 record, fifth in the WNBA standings.
The team will return from the break to face a three-game road trip. They are scheduled to face the Storm on Tuesday, the Portland Fire on July 31 and the Minnesota Lynx on Aug. 2.
