Saniya Rivers made headlines for her on-court incident with Caitlin Clark on Wednesday. The Indiana Fever star pointed to the scoreboard during their exchange as her team was ahead by 28 points, which the Connecticut Sun guard didn't appreciate. She has since addressed it and let fans know what she felt.
The referees stepped in to separate them and diffused the heated moment in the third quarter. Both players received a technical foul.
“Girl if we’re down by 50, I’m NEVER tolerating disrespect," Rivers wrote on Threads after the game. "As long as there’s time left on the clock, ima keep hoopin. Period.”

Indiana went on to secure a 123-88 win, with Clark spearheading the charge with a game-high 27 points and 11 assists. She also recorded five three-pointers, one steal and a block. Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston supplied 23 and 22 points, respectively.
Rivers, on the other hand, finished with 13 points, two rebounds and six assists. She was Connecticut's second-highest scorer of the night behind Diamond Miller's 15. Six Sun players scored in double digits, but the team struggled defensively, allowing the Fever to convert 45 of their 73 field goal attempts.
Next up for Connecticut is a clash versus the Washington Mystics on Tuesday. Rivers and Co. will look to snap their two-game losing streak and get back on track.
Meanwhile, Clark and the Fever aim to extend their winning streak to four games when they visit the Seattle Stormon Tuesday at Climate Pledge Arena.
