Less than two weeks after the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, U.S. soccer is back in the spotlight as the MLS All-Stars take on the Liga MX All-Stars at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The annual showcase features some of the biggest names in North American soccer, with recent MLS arrivals Thomas Müller and Son Heung-min set to headline the home side. However, Lionel Messi will not feature after Argentina's run to the World Cup final, while the Liga MX squad is also missing several key players.
This will be the fifth edition of the MLS All-Stars vs. Liga MX All-Stars matchup, with MLS leading the all-time series 3-1 after claiming a 3-1 victory in the 2025 meeting.
Liga MX's attack will be led by Pachuca striker Salomón Rondón and Tigres UANL midfielder Juan. The team also has a strong defensive core featuring World Cup players, including goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo, midfielder Erik Lira, and defender Israel Reyes.

The 29-player roster was selected through a combination of fan voting, selections made by MLS All-Star head coach Dean Smith, and picks from MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
