On Wednesday, September 16, Max Verstappen will be stepping out of Formula 1 for a one-of-a-kind racing adventure in “Max vs 100” at Silverstone.
The race will be held on a specially built track, with Verstappen lining up at the back and trying to pass every one of the 100 karts in 30 laps. The field consists of athletes, streamers, content creators, personalities, and racing fans.
What Is Max vs 100 And When Does It Start?
“Max vs 100” is not a traditional F1 race, but rather one simple challenge. It is to see if Verstappen can battle through a massive pack and catch all the drivers.
The Dutchman will start 101st, while his 100 opponents will battle for their own positions. The challengers also get a special benefit: each driver will get a “fast lap” that can be taken during the race. Verstappen has a shortcut of his own, but it’s only after the halfway mark.

That’s 1 p.m. ET for viewers in the United States, and the race starts at 1 p.m. ET (based on the UK start time). The race begins at 10:30 p.m. IST in India.
The event will be held at Silverstone in the United Kingdom, but the circuit will not be open to the public.

The F1 fans will see a completely different side of Verstappen’s racing skills. The Red Bull driver is faced with a situation that is different from what he would normally encounter at a Grand Prix weekend, with identical-style karts, 100 opponents, and a lot of traffic to deal with.
Verstappen himself has embraced the unusual format, admitting that he is looking forward to “seeing the carnage unfold” in front of him.
