Juventus take on Serie B side Palermo today in a preseason friendly at HBF Park in Perth, Australia. With the Serie A season just weeks away, the Bianconeri will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering a 2-1 loss to Inter Milan.
Manager Luciano Spalletti, however, was not overly concerned with the defeat and instead drew positives from his team's performance.
"In the first half against Inter we had some hesitation, even if we were up against the top of the class," he said.
"At 2-0 you might even have thought we couldn't recover, but instead the team reacted very well in the second half, it played fast, attractive football and scored a beautiful goal. We go forward calmly, always putting something more into the legs and the head, because we have to perfect ourselves, and that's exactly what pre-season is for.”
Before the loss, Juventus had remained unbeaten in their first three friendlies without conceding a single goal.
Palermo, meanwhile, enter the game after a 2-0 win over Melbourne City.
