Oklahoma and No. 2 Georgia meet Saturday in one of the biggest SEC games of Week 4. The Bulldogs enter the matchup 3-0 and 1-0 in conference play, while the Sooners are 2-1 and preparing for their first SEC game of the season. The game will be Oklahoma’s first trip to Sanford Stadium.
Georgia has opened the season with one of the nation’s most productive offenses, averaging 59.3 points and 539 total yards per game. The Bulldogs also have allowed just 13.3 points per game through three contests. Oklahoma has been much stronger defensively, allowing 7.7 points per game, but its offense has averaged 329.7 yards per game.
The Sooners enter the SEC opener after a 17-10 loss to Michigan and a 14-6 win over New Mexico. Georgia, meanwhile, is 3-0 after opening conference play with a win over Arkansas. Saturday’s game gives Oklahoma an immediate test against the No. 2 team in the country and gives Georgia another opportunity to add a conference win to its résumé.
