The Denver Nuggets begin their 2026-27 preseason Sunday when they host the Utah Jazz at the CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado.
Denver is coming off a 54-28 regular season that ended with a first-round playoff exit. The Nuggets have reworked their roster around three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, adding DeMar DeRozan, Tyus Jones, Marvin Bagley III and Ryan Nembhard during the offseason.
Utah enters its first preseason game with plenty of attention on its young core. The Jazz selected Darryn Peterson No. 2 overall in the 2026 NBA Draft and also have Ace Bailey, Keyonte George, Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. on a revamped roster.

Nuggets vs Jazz Preseason Roster
Jokic headlines the roster for the Nuggets. The three-time MVP averaged 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.7 assists last season. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon also remain important pieces of Denver’s core as the franchise begins its quest for a second NBA title when the regular season resumes.
Utah’s attention will center on Darryn Peterson, the No. 2 overall pick, as he makes his preseason debut. Ace Bailey, Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. give the Jazz an intriguing mix of young talent and veteran experience heading into the new season.
This is the first of two preseason meetings between the teams. Denver and Utah will meet again Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
