The Minnesota Lynx return to Brooklyn for Game 2 of their first-round WNBA playoff series against the New York Liberty on Tuesday night. Minnesota, the No. 1 seed, needs a win to keep its season alive after New York pulled off a 91-75 victory in Game 1.
Breanna Stewart led the Liberty with 34 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in the opener, while New York’s defense limited Minnesota’s offense throughout the game. The Liberty now have an opportunity to finish the best-of-three series on their home floor.
Napheesa Collier and rookie Olivia Miles will be central to Minnesota’s response. The Lynx also have home-court advantage waiting if they can extend the series to Game 3, which would be played Thursday in Minneapolis.

Lynx vs Liberty Game Preview
Stewart enters Game 2 after dominating the opener with 34 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones also give New York additional scoring and playmaking options as the Liberty look to complete the sweep.
Minnesota needs a stronger offensive showing from Collier and Miles after the Lynx scored just 75 points in Game 1. Miles averaged 19.8 points and six assists during the regular season and will face another difficult defensive assignment against New York.
A Liberty win sends New York to the semifinals. If Minnesota wins, the series moves back to Target Center for Game 3 on Thursday.
