McDavid And Oilers Meet Red-Hot Kraken
Seattle couldn’t have scripted a much better beginning to its season. The Kraken went into Calgary and rolled to a 6-1 victory, immediately providing some optimism about what their offense could look like this season.
Edmonton’s first two games have been significantly more chaotic. The Oilers followed their season opener by beating Vancouver 9-7 in one of the most ridiculous scorelines fans are likely to see all season.
McDavid was right in the middle of it.
The Oilers superstar recorded five points with one goal and four assists as Edmonton’s collection of offensive stars overwhelmed Vancouver.
Evan Bouchard also continued a remarkable start to the season, giving Seattle another dangerous player to account for Saturday.
The Kraken will arrive with confidence after their own offensive explosion, creating an interesting early test for both clubs.
Seattle gets an opportunity to prove its opening-night performance wasn’t simply one great game.
Edmonton gets another chance to show that its offense might be capable of turning almost any game into a track meet.
Considering what these teams did in their most recent games, Saturday night could get interesting very quickly.
