The Atlanta Dream and Washington Mystics meet Wednesday night for Game 2 of their WNBA first-round playoff series at CareFirst Arena.
Atlanta took a 1-0 series lead Sunday after overcoming a five-point halftime deficit to beat Washington 92-77. The Dream outscored the Mystics 56-36 after halftime, including a 29-12 advantage in the third quarter.
Washington now returns home needing a win to extend the best-of-three series to a decisive Game 3. The Mystics went 28-16 during the regular season, while Atlanta finished 30-14 and earned the No. 4 seed.

Rhyne Howard led Atlanta in Game 1 with 26 points, five steals and a block. Allisha Gray added 22 points, while DeWanna Bonner provided 13 points off the bench. Angel Reese recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds in her playoff debut.
Washington received 25 points from Sonia Citron in Game 1. Kiki Iriafen added 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Shakira Austin finished with 12 points and 16 rebounds.
The Mystics won two of the three regular-season meetings, including both games played in Washington. Atlanta won the regular season series opener in June by 32 points, but Washington answered with five-point victories on July 2 and Aug. 7.
