Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Los Angeles Dodgers were able to put Walt Weiss’ Atlanta Braves away 3-1 on Tuesday to take the 2-1 lead in the National League divisional series. Yamamoto continues to dominate in the postseason, with the right-handed pitcher going 7.0 innings, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out 10 hitters.
Another player who has excelled in the postseason is third baseman Enrique “Kiké” Hernandez, who hit a home run off Atlanta starting pitcher Chris Sale. First baseman Freddie Freeman knocked in a home run off Sale as well. Sale was credited with the loss, allowing three earned runs in 5.0 innings. Second baseman Ozzie Albies was the only Braves player with an extra-base hit, knocking a double.

Game 4 will be a pitching duel between two Tylers, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will hand the ball to right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow and Atlanta will start right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle.
Glasnow was on the injured list for a lengthy stint of the 2026 MLB regular season. In 13 games started this year, the All-Star went 5-2 with a 3.53 ERA, striking out 98 hitters in 74.0 innings pitched. For Atlanta, Mahle was acquired at the trade deadline from the San Francisco Giants to boost their starting rotation. In nine games for the Braves, Mahle went 4-1 with a spectacular 1.99 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP.
Los Angeles can close out the series with a win and head to the National League Championship Series, where it will face the winner of the Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego Padres series.
