Team USA will look to close the group stage on a stronger note Monday when it faces Czechia at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin.
The Americans are coming off a 55-52 win over Italy on Sunday in a game that was far closer than expected. Team USA trailed 50-48 with 4:29 remaining before a late 7-0 run helped the Americans escape with the victory. Jackie Young led the way with 10 points, while Breanna Stewart grabbed 11 rebounds.
The win extended Team USA’s World Cup winning streak to 32 games and secured first place in Group D.

The Americans will be looking to sharpen their offense after scoring only 55 points against Italy. Team USA shot 29% from the field in the narrow victory, making Monday’s matchup an opportunity to build momentum before the knockout stage.
