Cowboys vs. Packers Key Players
Prescott leads the Dallas offense with 1,381 passing yards and nine touchdowns through five games. He has also thrown three interceptions, making ball security important against a Green Bay defense that recorded five takeaways against Chicago. Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens give Prescott two major downfield targets.
Love has thrown for 1,408 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Packers this season. Christian Watson is coming off a two-touchdown performance against Chicago, while rookie receiver Matthew Golden also made an impact with a 50-yard reception. Dallas will need to limit explosive plays after allowing significant production through the air and on the ground.
On defense, the Packers will be without Micah Parsons, who continues recovering from a torn ACL, and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, who was placed on injured reserve with an Achilles injury. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is also unavailable, leaving Green Bay short-handed up front.
Dallas will look to defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a former Packer, to help disrupt Love’s offense against his old team. The Cowboys also need a stronger performance from their run defense, which has struggled to contain opposing ground attacks this season.
