The Orlando Magic host the Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA preseason game Tuesday night. Here’s how to watch the Eastern Conference matchup, including television coverage, streaming options and players to watch.
The Orlando Magic return home Tuesday night for a preseason rematch against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.
The teams are meeting for the second time in three days after Cleveland earned a 119-105 victory Sunday night. That result gave the Cavaliers some momentum heading into their final preseason appearance, while Orlando will have an opportunity to make adjustments before the regular season begins.
Both teams reached the Eastern Conference playoffs last season, although neither finished its campaign the way it had hoped. Cleveland advanced to the conference finals for the first time since 2018 before losing to the eventual NBA champion New York Knicks.
Orlando picked up a playoff berth through the Play-In Tournament but was eliminated by Detroit in the first round after holding a 3-1 series lead.
Tuesday’s matchup provides another opportunity for both coaching staffs to evaluate their rotations and prepare for a competitive Eastern Conference.

Cavaliers vs Magic Game Overview
Cleveland enters Tuesday’s exhibition looking to build on Sunday’s 14-point victory over Orlando. The Cavaliers finished last season with a 52-30 record and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals, giving head coach Kenny Atkinson an established foundation entering the new campaign.
Donovan Mitchell remains one of Cleveland’s most dangerous offensive players, capable of scoring from the perimeter or creating opportunities by attacking the basket. James Harden provides another experienced ball handler, while Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen give Cleveland a formidable interior combination.
Atkinson is expected to increase the playing time of several regular starters Tuesday as the Cavaliers make their final preparations for the regular season. That could provide fans with a more extended look at Cleveland’s preferred lineup combinations.
Magic Back At Home
Orlando has plenty of talent of its own. Paolo Banchero remains the centerpiece of the Magic’s offense, while Franz Wagner gives Orlando another versatile scorer capable of creating opportunities from multiple areas of the floor.
Desmond Bane adds perimeter scoring, and Jalen Suggs provides defensive intensity in the backcourt. Wendell Carter Jr. also plays an important role in Orlando’s frontcourt, particularly as a rebounder and interior defender.
The Magic will be looking for a stronger performance after Sunday’s defeat in Cleveland. Improving their defensive execution and finding more consistent offensive rhythm should be priorities entering Tuesday’s rematch.
Eastern Conference Battle Before Regular Season
For Cleveland, the exhibition is another opportunity to strengthen chemistry before beginning a season with significant expectations. For Orlando, playing another game against a proven Eastern Conference opponent provides valuable preparation before the regular season begins.
Although the final score will not count toward either team’s standings, Tuesday should offer a good look at two teams hoping to compete in the postseason again for the 2026-27 season.
