Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga have both been part of The Bloodline story, but their relationship with Roman Reigns is different from the one shared by several other members of the famous wrestling family.
The short answer is that Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga are not biologically related to Roman Reigns. Tama and Talla, formerly known as Hikuleo, are the sons of WWE legend Haku, whose real name is Tonga ʻUliʻuli Fifita.
Roman, meanwhile, is part of the Anoaʻi family, one of the most influential Samoan wrestling families. The connection between Haku's family and the Anoaʻi dynasty comes through generations of close relationships rather than a shared bloodline.
Why Are Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga Considered Part of The Bloodline Family?
The link between the families goes back to the relationship between Roman's grandfather, Reverend Amituanaʻi Anoaʻi, and Peter Maivia, The Rock's grandfather. The two were blood brothers, creating a bond between their families that has carried through generations.
Haku also had a close connection with Peter Maivia, who helped train him during the early stages of his wrestling career. That relationship later extended to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has referred to Haku as his uncle.
That history is what connects Tama and Talla to the wider Polynesian wrestling family surrounding the Anoaʻi and Maivia dynasties.
There is still a clear distinction between the different branches of The Bloodline. Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa share direct biological ties. Jacob Fatu is also part of the same blood family.
Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga are different. Their place within The Bloodline comes from the longstanding family and cultural bond involving Haku and the Anoaʻi wrestling dynasty, not from a direct biological connection to Roman Reigns.
WWE's Bloodline storyline has brought those relationships into the spotlight, allowing Tama and Talla to become part of one of wrestling's most recognizable family sagas.
