LaMelo Ball is on the move.
The star point guard is being traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Minnesota Timberwolves. ESPN's Shams Charania broke the big news on Thursday morning. Ball, the youngest of LaVar Ball's three sons, is being shipped from the Hornets to the Timberwolves in a blockbuster move.
Several first round NBA Draft picks are being exchanged in the move.
"The Charlotte Hornets are trading star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps (2028, 2029, 2030) and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, 2033), sources tell ESPN," Charania reported.

LaMelo Ball will be joining a Minnesota backcourt that features All-NBA shooting guard Anthony Edwards.
The Hornets were first linked to a Ball trade on Wednesday night, when multiple teams, including the Toronto Raptors, reportedly expressed interest in making a big-time offseason trade.
But now he's heading to Minnesota.
The trade has yet to be made official, though it sounds like Ball will be heading north to play with the former No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick out of Georgia.
It's an interesting move from Minnesota, to say the least.
