It didn't take long for March Madness to live up to its reputation, as No. 12 High Point shocked No. 5 Wisconsin this Thursday afternoon.
Wisconsin had a chance to break this game open after going up 56-50, but High Point's Chase Johnston and Rob Martin wouldn't be denied. Even though Johnston leaned on his range throughout this game, his first 2-point basket of the season gave the Panthers an 83-82 lead with 11.7 seconds remaining.
Luckily for head coach Flynn Clayman, his defense took care of business to secure a spot in the Round of 32.
After leading High Point to an upset win, Clayman spoke to sideline reporter Jared Greenberg. Let's just say he wasn't afraid to put the Big Ten on notice.
"It looks obvious high-majors need to play mid-majors during the season. They said we didn't play nobody. Well, we played somebody now," Clayman said. "This feels unreal. I know how good of a team we had, but nobody would play us - just like they wouldn’t play Miami (Ohio). But they’ve got to play us in this tournament."

Judging by the responses on social media, basketball fans appreciated how animated Clayman was during his postgame interview.
"He coaches like he is upset and I love it," one fan commented.
"Flynn Clayman got me fired up in this post game interview - you gotta love seeing the mid major teams calling out the high majors after ducking them during the regular season," a second fan wrote.
"Facts coach! Well done High Point," another fan said.
Another challenge awaits for High Point.
With the win over Wisconsin in the books, High Point will either face No. 4 Arkansas or No. 13 Hawaii in the second round of the tournament.
If Arkansas defeats Hawaii, oddsmakers will have John Calipari's squad as heavy favorites over High Point. However, we all saw that High Point isn't afraid of a challenge.
