Atlanta Hawks fans have been enjoying basketball ever since Jonathan Kuminga came onto the roster. They have won every game Kuminga has been involved in, keeping them in contention for the play-in spots with a 31-31 record.

Kuminga has come into his own since leaving a situation with the Golden State Warriors that didn't let him shine. The G League Ignite product is averaging career highs in points per game (21.3), rebounds per game (7.7), assists per game (3.3) and steals per game (1.7).

With players like Jalen Johnson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker also playing well for Atlanta, it's easy to see why the city's hoops scene is high on the team's future. A section of Hawks fans is especially thrilled with the Kuminga acquisition, and they let the Warriors know how much they appreciate the trade.

Atlanta Hawks Fans Start 'Thank You Warriors' Chant During Game

Hoop Central posted a video on X that showed a section of Hawks fans chanting during the team's 135-101 rundown of the Portland Trail Blazers. The "Thank you Warriors!" chants can be clearly heard while the game was going on.

It's not hard to see why the Hawks fandom is thanking the Dubs like they sent Curry himself. Kuminga had a fine game while starting the game off the bench. The forward finished with 20 points on 70% shooting, seven boards, three assists, and two steals with only 25 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, Kuminga's impact was felt in other areas of the Hawks' game plan as more players were finding their shots. At least five other Atlanta players scored in double digits, and almost everyone who played in the game had a double-digit plus-minus score.

The Hawks will hope the good times will continue as they face the Milwaukee Bucks next at 9:30 pm ET Wednesday.
