Gotham FC traded midfielder Josefine Hasbo to Boston Legacy FC in exchange for $50,000 in allocation money on Thursday.

Hasbo made 11 appearances across all NWSL competitions in 2025. Her impact helped Gotham capture the 2025 NWSL Championship, though she did not play in the Bats' 1-0 title-lifting victory over the Washington Spirit.

Gotham general manager and head of soccer operations Yael Averbuch West stated her appreciation for Hasbo's contributions to the club's successful 2025 season and wished her luck with the Legacy.

"Josie has been a valued member of our team, and we want to thank her for the professionalism and commitment she brought to Gotham FC," Averbuch West said. "We appreciate her contributions to the club and wish her nothing but success as she continues the next chapter of her career in Boston."

Hasbo has made 38 appearances for Denmark since she made her senior debut in March 2020.

The 24-year-old will join up with Boston ahead of the club's 2026 expansion season. Boston will play its first-ever NWSL match against Gotham on March 14 at Gillette Stadium.

Boston will play at Gillette Stadium and Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, during their inaugural season while Boston's White Stadium is being renovated.
