Charlie Woods, the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, has decided where he'll take his talents once his time at Benjamin School is up.
Benjamin head coach Toby Harbeck was asked about Woods' future during the late stages of 2025. At that time, there were rumblings that he could follow in his father's footsteps and head out to the West Coast to play for Stanford. Golfweek also mentioned Florida State as a suitor for the No. 21 player in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Well, it turns out playing in Tallahassee was too appealing to pass up.
On Tuesday afternoon, Woods announced his commitment to Florida State. He'll join a 2027 recruiting class that features the top-ranked amateur in Miles Russell.
"Excited to announce my commitment to play golf at Florida State University — go Noles," the son of the 15-time major champion said.

What does this mean for FSU?
Obviously, landing one of the most popular high school athletes in the world will bring plenty of attention to Florida State's golf program. Could it also help out other teams in Tallahassee?
There are plenty of people who are convinced Woods' commitment to Florida State will actually benefit the school's football tram.
"Florida State is back," Ari Wasserman of On3 said.
"First time I’ve ever seen a golf commitment graphic But yea, I’d say this one warrants it," one fan commented.
"Tiger is about to be donating to football," a second fan suggested.
"Welcome to the Florida State family Charlie Woods! This definitely means Tiger is going to be donating to the Florida State athletics fund, right?" another fan wrote on X.
"Start thanking Charlie Woods for making FSU relevant again. His arrival to the golf program will likely also bring the football program back from the brink," a social media user wrote.
There's no guarantee Tiger Woods will give the NIL collective at Florida State a boost, but we won't rule out that possibility.
For now though, the focus should strictly be on Charlie Woods and his future with the Seminoles.
