After watching Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell lead the Indiana Fever to their fifth straight win, former NFL star Robert Griffin III dropped the ultimate praise on the two.
While Mitchell was not able to finish Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Tempo after getting “overheated,” she still recorded 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting, along with three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Meanwhile, Clark tallied 24 points on 4-of-9 shooting from deep. She also recorded three rebounds and seven assists in the win.
With their incredible production, the Fever improved to 24-12 on the season and climbed to the No. 3 spot in the WNBA standings.

Griffin, for his part, was impressed after seeing the two dominate against the Tempo. He even compared them to popular anime characters Son Goku and Vegeta from the show “Dragon Ball Z” because of how good they have been this season.
“Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell are the best Duo in the WNBA. They in their Goku and Vegeta Era,” Griffin wrote on X, along with a fire emoji.
Griffin has been a big fan of the Fever, particularly Clark, this season. He even recently expressed belief that Clark “should be the front runner for WNBA MVP” because she’s on pace to have a season like no other in league history.
However, there’s no denying that what he said has merit. Mitchell is second in the league in scoring with 24.3 points per game, while Clark is third with 22.1 points. No other backcourt teammates are in the top 10.
Furthermore, Clark leads the league in assists, making her and Mitchell an even scarier backcourt tandem.
