The New York Giants and their fans are collectively holding their breath for an update on star quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Unfortunately for the Giants, they lost their quarterback in the first quarter of Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Ole Miss product suffered a knee injury after being hit by Rams linebackers Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart.
Although he left the field under his own power, Dart was visibly in pain. Some fans even worried that he suffered a season-ending injury to his left knee.
The good news for the Giants is that Dart may have dodged a serious blow to his sophomore campaign.
Giants general manager Joe Schoen told ESPN that Dart is “going to be OK.” Does that mean he’ll be back for Week 3? Not exactly, but at least the organization isn’t panicking just yet.

When will Dart return to the Giants?
During the first half of the Giants-Rams game, ESPN’s camera crew caught a staff member for the Giants talking to John Harbaugh. Fans are convinced he said, “He’s going to be out 4-6 weeks.”
If Dart suffered a sprain ligament in his knee, a one-month absence makes sense for him.
Who knows? Maybe we’ll even see Dart back on the field even earlier. Until then though, Jamies Winston will lead the offense for the Giants.
