Odell Beckham Jr. quickly rose to stardom with the New York Giants as a rookie in 2014. After being selected No. 12 overall in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by New York, Odell quickly justified the pick. Beckham Jr. set the NFL rookie record for receiving yards per game (108.8) while also setting Giants rookie franchise records for receiving yards (1,305), receptions (91) and touchdowns (12).

The Isidore Newman School graduate rose to superstar status after recording more than 1,300 receiving yards and 10-plus touchdowns in each of his first three seasons with the Giants. After five seasons in New York, the 5-foot-11 wide receiver was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

Now a veteran in the league, the 33-year-old is looking to rekindle his career with the Giants. On Monday, it was announced that Beckham Jr. had worked out for New York for the second time this offseason. With Gunner Olszewski tearing his Achilles tendon on Friday, along with injuries to wide receivers Malik Nabers (knee) and Darius Slayton (sports hernia), New York is looking to provide veteran assistance for second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart.

The Giants announced later that day that they had signed the former New York star. Beckham Jr. last played for the Miami Dolphins in 2024, tallying nine catches for 55 yards. Braxton Berrios was also signed to a one-year deal with the Giants. Berrios attended the same workout as Beckham Jr., along with JuJu Smith-Schuster. Berrios spent the 2025 season with the Houston Texans, appearing in four games and recording six receptions for 37 yards.

Beckham Jr. took to social media to celebrate the signing with New York. In an Instagram post, the former LSU Tigers star shared a highlight reel from his time with the Giants.

"Nothin was ever given to me," Beckham Jr. wrote in the Instagram caption. "I worked for everything I have. Never give up on urself. Home Team i'm back.... Let's get itttt 🕺🏿"

New York will host the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium to open the 2026 NFL regular season on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 13.
