Newly acquired Miami Heat star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo were spotted in public for the first time after the big trade.
The two frontcourt stars were seen at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Nevada ahead of the WNBA game between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty on Tuesday.
Antetokounmpo was with his family to watch the contest. They supported the Aces, as Adebayo’s girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, is one of the team’s main stars.
However, Las Vegas suffered an 87-76 loss to New York, its fifth setback of the season. Wilson, the reigning WNBA MVP, finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals.
On Tuesday, the blockbuster trade between the Bucks and the Heat was announced. Milwaukee sent Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to Miami in exchange for Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakučionis and five future draft picks.
This deal isn’t official until July 6, but this ends the trade saga between the two-time NBA MVP and the Bucks, which lasted for over a year.
Adebayo and Antetokounmpo will spearhead the campaign of Miami next season, along with holdovers Andrew Wiggins, Norman Powell and Davion Mitchell.
Antetokounmpo and Adebayo have been close friends off the court, as they share the same sports agent, Alex Saratsi of Octagon.
They hope to help the Heat return to the postseason after missing the playoffs in 2025-26. It was the first time they missed the playoffs since 2019.
Adebayo is coming off a historic season, in which he scored the second-highest points total in a game, 83, against the Washington Wizards on March 10.
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo was plagued by injuries this past year and only played 36 games, but still posted averages of 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
