The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2025 college football season going 12-2. Their only losses came against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 5 and the Ole Miss Rebels in the Sugar Bowl.

Every season that Georgia doesn't bring home a national championship is a disappointment. However, head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have moved on and continue to build for the future, which means focusing on high school recruiting.

Players in the 2028 class still have several years before hitting college campuses, but the Bulldogs have already made one big splash. Quarterback Jayden Wade committed to Georgia on Nov. 16.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Wade is a five-star recruit and the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 4 player in the nation, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Despite being committed to Georgia, he revealed two more SEC teams that remain in the mix when speaking to Rivals' Chad Simmons.

“I am looking at LSU and Tennessee," Wade said. "I’m not sure when I will visit those schools, but those are the main two. I like the offense at both schools. We see what Lane Kiffin does with quarterbacks, so I will check those schools out.”

However, LSU and Tennessee aren't the only ones to have expressed interests in the quarterback. He also holds offers from the Texas Longhorns, Michigan Wolverines, Oregon Ducks, Miami Hurricanes and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Along with a high ranking, Wade put together solid numbers in his sophomore season at IMG Academy. He completed 73-of-119 passes for 1,376 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 254 yards and three touchdowns.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they're familiar with losing top-ranked quarterbacks to fellow SEC programs. Jared Curtis, a five-star quarterback in the 2026 cycle, flipped to the Vanderbilt Commodores after being committed to Georgia.

While Simmons noted that the Bulldogs remain "firmly in control," it's clear that Wade is continuing to keep his options open.
