Toronto Blue Jays right fielder George Springer has had a phenomenal career in Major League Baseball. Through 12 years in the majors, Springer has a slash line of .266/.353/.478 with an .831 OPS, totaling 293 home runs, 796 RBIs and 120 stolen bases in 1,445 career regular season games.
He has been to four All-Star Games, won three Silver Slugger Awards and was named the World Series MVP when he and the Houston Astros took the crown in 2017.
At 36 years old, Springer is coming off one of the best seasons of his career in 2025 with Toronto. In 140 games, he batted a career-high .309 with a .959 OPS, 32 long balls and 84 RBIs.

While he was great during the 2025 regular season, Springer's heroics came during the playoffs. In 16 postseason games, he batted .284 with four homers and 10 runs driven in. One of these home runs was a three-run blast in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series that sent the Blue Jays back to the World Series for the first time since 1993.
In the 2026 season, Springer will be entering the final year of a six-year, $150 million contract he signed with the Blue Jays before the 2021 season.
Before the new season gets underway, Springer will be making an appearance off the field. On Wednesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that Springer will be a guest on "Unsportsmanlike Content," the team's NHL pregame show.

The Toronto hero will join as a guest alongside Canadian singer-songwriter Jim Cuddy. The two of them will be on the pregame show before the Maple Leafs take on the New York Rangers at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
This will likely be the last time Blue Jays fans can see Springer before he takes the diamond on Toronto's opening day on Friday against the Athletics. First pitch from Rogers Centre is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET.
