San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has plenty of appreciation for Taylor Swift as her wedding with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce draws near.
The pop superstar made a surprise appearance at the Tight End University concert Tuesday night. TEU is a three-day summit co-founded in 2021 by Kelce, Kittle and Greg Olsen.
Every summer, the best tight ends in the league descend on Nashville to sharpen their craft. The three-day event includes film sessions, on-field work and recovery programming. The concert is the event's signature public moment, channeling proceeds toward causes championed by all three founders.
An interview shared on a Taylor Swift fan page on X captured Kittle making his opinion of Swift very clear.
"She's just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding," he said. "So we're just so thankful that they're here, and honestly, she just has a great time. That's what's just so much fun.
"She's just hanging out, talking to my mom. Shout out to Taylor for talking to my mom again. But she's just so kind, and it's awesome to have her around."
Swift took the stage at the Pinnacle to close out the night, delivering performances of "Shake It Off" and "Love Story."
Swift joined Lainey Wilson for a duet, drawing the loudest reaction of the evening. Before the performance, Swift joked the song was a "special request by a very special tight end" and pointed directly at Kittle.
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce have been linked to a July wedding at Madison Square Garden. No official confirmation has come from either side.
With a wedding looming, Kittle's gratitude for Swift carving out time for TEU speaks volumes.
The 49ers tight end is focused on his own comeback, recovering from an Achilles tear suffered in the Wild Card playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in January 2026. He is targeting a Week 1 return against the Los Angeles Rams.
