Minka Kelly, the longtime Hollywood star known best for her role as Lyla Garrity on the iconic show “Friday Night Lights,” is single at 46.
The longtime acting star, who previously dated New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter, is single again. PEOPLE is reporting that Kelly and her boyfriend of four years, Imagine Dragons star Dan Reynolds, have broken up.
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE the split “happened recently.”
Kelly recently starred on “Ransom Canyon” and attempted to get her then-boyfriend in Season 2 of the show, after he made an appearance as a cattle buyer named Billy in Season 1.
“We tried to find a way to bring Billy Brinks back,” she said at the time. “I was like, ‘Maybe the [love] triangle is with Billy Brinks.’ ”

The former couple’s last public appearance came in May at the 2026 Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Gala.
They had been together for four years.
She had shared a tribute for him on his birthday in July.
“Thank you for making ordinary days feel extraordinary, for making me laugh until I can’t breathe, and for loving so deeply and so freely. Celebrating you is one of my favorite things to do. I love you, Dan. Happy birthday. ♥️,” she wrote.
According to PEOPLE, the couple initially met through a mutual friend.
“She and Reynolds, who initially met through a mutual friend and bonded over their creative work, were spotted together for the first time in fall 2022 while out for dinner in Los Angeles,” they reported.
“Over the years, the former couple stepped out for a handful of public appearances.”
Breakups are never easy. We wish her and Dan the best.
