Sports networks have taken different approaches to the national anthem in recent years.
Some choose to save the national anthem for just the big games. Most NFL networks are doing that now. You'll see the national anthem as part of an NFL broadcast for big playoff games or the Super Bowl, but that's about it. The same is mostly true of NBA and MLB games.
But NASCAR has taken a different approach.
On Sunday, ahead of the first big race of the year - the Daytona 500 - FOX chose to show the national anthem in its entirety.
"United we stand, ready to race," NASCAR showed on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday afternoon.

The 2026 Daytona 500, meanwhile, is scheduled to begin at 2:13 p.m. E.T. on Sunday afternoon. It's airing live on FOX.
