FOX News host Jesse Watters has apparently reached his breaking point with the WNBA.
The Minnesota Lynx picked up a 108-100 win over the Indiana Fever this past Sunday, but that performance was overshadowed by Cheryl Reeve's decision to wear a shirt that said, "Trans kids belong." Many fans believe she was firing back at Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who recently spoke to ESPN about transgender participation in women's sports.
“I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans,” Cunningham said. “And I’m like, ‘I never once said that.’ I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”
Watters, who has been on TV for Fox News for roughly a decade, had zero interest in talking about Cunningham or Reeve this week. And yet, they were on the rundown during Monday's episode of "The Five."
"This is week three of covering the WNBA, and I have to say, I’m done. I hate the WNBA. I don’t mind women’s basketball. My girls play basketball, but I don’t want to cover women’s basketball. I don’t want to be a WNBA analyst. We get paid to have an opinion about everything. And this is something I don’t care about," Watters said, via Awful Announcing.
"... This isn’t a news story. OK? It doesn’t matter. There will not be a man in the WNBA. We don’t even cover the NBA. Why are we covering the WNBA? This is ridiculous."

The conversation isn't slowing down.
While it's evident that Watters is done discussing the WNBA, other personalities at Fox News are more than willing to tackle this subject.
In fact, Laura Ingraham suggested that Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham should leave the WNBA due to safety concerns.
"Should Cunningham and Clark even continue to play? I honestly worry for their safety during the games, and entering and exiting the stadiums. These pro-trans people are obsessed militants capable of anything," Ingraham said.
Unfortunately, all the debate surrounding the WNBA shows zero signs of slowing down.
