The Tennessee Titans wrapped up their first scrimmage in front of the fans on Friday night. This was an event that many were highly anticipating, and one that fans were excited for, as this is their first time getting the chance to see who the stars are going to be following a major roster overhaul.
Despite there being multiple talking points to discuss, there are a handful of observations in specific that started to stand out the most.
Carnell Tate Had a Massive Day

While Tate had multiple big moments in the game, none were bigger than his moment in which he went up and snagged a catch with just one hand. This was just one of his catches that had the fans cheering, as he also had a big play on a slant just a couple of plays before the major moment.
Tate's control during the game is something that fans noticed. He finished the contest with a total of four catches, becoming a popular target on the offensive side of the ball.
Cam Ward Dominates the Competition

Cam Ward entered the day as a player with high expectations, and he left the day a proven man. After finishing the practice with 30 passes attempted (23 of which were completed), Ward made it known that he is doing more than just showing this season. He wants to compete.
Ward produced three scoring drives, one of which was a touchdown. He would have had a fourth scoring drive, but Joey Slye missed the kick. Ward was the MVP of this contest, to say the least.
Nicholas Singleton Could Be the Guy the Titans Needed

The Titans made a move to select Nicholas Singleton with a day-three selection that they owned in the 2026 NFL Draft. Since then, he has been lighting up the competition, with fans even stating they believe he could be a future starter for the Titans program.
The Titans running back was electric on the day and is one of the top performers in my opinion. If he continues to meet the criteria of what the Titans are looking for, I wouldn't be shocked if he begins to receive a bulk of the snaps at running back at this point.
Gunnar Helm Is Ready to Take Charge

Gunnar Helm continues to be one of the better players on the Titans roster from a returning standpoint. While he was the backup to Chigoziem Okonkwo in 2025, he is continuing to show that he can be the perfect replacement from a receiving standpoint. He is also a much better run-blocking tight end, which should help the backfield in 2026.
He finished the day with a touchdown, showing that he is making progress when it comes to an impact standpoint.
