The deadline to apply for the college football transfer portal ends on Friday. After that, no players will be allowed to enter until the next cycle.
One player who has already entered the transfer portal and begun conducting visits is former Colorado Buffaloes offensive tackle Jordan Seaton. He is ranked as the third-best player in the portal, following pass rushers Damon Wilson and Princewill Umanmielen.
Seaton, a former five-star recruit, was named a freshman All-American in 2024. This season, he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors. He was considered a sought-after prospect by several college football teams; however, it seems he has narrowed his options down to four teams, according to On3's Pete Nakos.

Seaton officially entered the portal on Thursday, and his first official visit was with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. His offensive line coach during his first year in Boulder, Phil Loadholt, is now the offensive line coach at Mississippi State. The LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns are also top contenders for his commitment.
Mississippi State’s involvement in Seaton’s recruitment highlights the program’s intent to make a significant move in the trenches under Jeff Lebby. Offensive line continuity has been a point of emphasis this offseason, and Seaton’s prior relationship with Loadholt could give the Bulldogs a meaningful edge as the process moves quickly.
For Seaton, the decision may come down to a balance of development, familiarity and immediate opportunity. Mississippi State can offer a clear path to playing time in the SEC, while LSU, Oregon and Texas each bring national title aspirations and proven offensive systems.
With the portal deadline looming, Seaton’s recruitment is expected to accelerate rapidly. His choice will not only impact his next destination but could also swing the momentum of one of the most competitive transfer battles of the offseason.
