Benjamin Satterley, a wrestler who competed under the name Neville in the WWE, has sadly passed away at the age of 40.
The former wrestler died this Sunday in the city of Des Plaines, Illinois. His death came just one day after he fought for the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) National Championship under the ring name of Pac.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” the company said in a statement. “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
According to the California Post, the former WWE star was found “passed out” in a vehicle in a CAVA parking lot.
“This is going to be a slumper,” authorities said in the audio, via the California Post. “We can’t confirm breathing at this time. This is going to be a slumper in a car. We cannot confirm breathing yet. At this point, we’re still on the phone getting further.”
Satterley was ultimately pronounced dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office at 4:08 p.m. local time.

I had the pleasure of working with Ben in the early days of @WWENXT,” Triple H wrote on social media. “This moment, from NXT Arrival, marked the beginning of a new era for that brand and the men and women on it … and Ben was a major force behind that. He was an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans across the world.”
“Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times,” Will Ospreay said. “You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”
“It was a true honor to wrestle you. I will never forget the matches we had in the UK and the US,” Shota Umino wrote.
“Never forget when Neville and Seth Rollins had an absolute banger on RAW, with one of the greatest near falls in history,” one fan said.
“Every Black Arrow looked like it shouldn’t be physically possible. Horrible news, and thoughts with his family tonight,” another fan commented.
