Although she’s years removed from competing in the WWE, Candice Michelle still knows how to grab the wrestling universe’s attention.
Michelle, 48, was hired by the WWE in 2004 after she competing in the Diva Search. Three years later, she defeated Melina to capture the Women’s Championship. Despite being released by the company in 2009, she returned a decade later and won the WWE 24/7 Championship.
“A native of Milwaukee, the beautiful brunette moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to pursue a career in show business. After finding some success in modeling and acting, the stunner applied for the 2004 WWE Diva Search. While she didn’t win the competition, Candice was quickly signed to the Raw roster,” her WWE bio states. “Candice would continue to compete in the women’s division, but repeated injuries to her clavicle would stop her from achieving the success she previously enjoyed. In 2009, Candice and WWE parted ways, but the sexy, smart and powerful Diva’s looks and talent would not be soon forgotten.”
Earlier this week, WWE legend Torrie Wilson celebrated Michelle’s birthday by posting a video on Instagram. There’s a swimsuit clip that left plenty of fans speechless.
“Sometimes, friends will weave in and out of your life based on what chapter you are in.
I’m so grateful that we haven’t stopped riding our chapters together,” Wilson wrote on Instagram. “Unapologetically YOU in every season. A friend to laugh with, cry with and be unapologetically me with. What a GIFT it is to know & love you. Here’s to you, superstar! ILYSM.”
WWE fans made it clear they still have love for Michelle.
That being said, we’re not expecting a surprise return to the ring anytime soon.
