Former WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick issued a warning this week to anyone spreading misinformation about her.
Gondrezick started her WNBA career with the Indiana Fever in 2021. The former All-Big 12 guard at West Virginia was selected with the fourth overall pick in that year's draft. She tried to revitalize her career in 2024 on the Chicago Sky, but she was released mid-season after averaging only 3.2 minutes per game.
Since her departure from the WNBA in 2024, Gondrezick has kept herself busy with passion projects away from the court. A few months ago, she became the first current female basketball player to pose for Playboy.

Gondrezick told her fans earlier this week that she would soon share a link on social media for her fans. Those who assumed she was offering a subscription-based service ended up being right. She announced this week that she now has an account on Fanvue, a content-sharing platform that allows people to post photos, videos, and live.
Some social media users assumed that Gondrezick was moving to OnlyFans to post risqué content. That being said, she plans on going after those who jumped the gun.
"Speculation and apprehension shouldn’t generate false online publishing," Gondrezick wrote Thursday. "Crazy how at the expense of being right, one rather be first. Anyone that has publicized and ran with headlines that are NOT true in regard to me joining another platform will be hearing from my legal team x."
Will Gondrezick return to the WNBA?
Gondrezick has said before that she's not giving up on her WNBA career. However, she suffered a torn Achilles during a workout in January.
“This hurts! Truly one of the hardest, most shocking moments of my journey thus far. I was diagnosed with a torn Achilles this week and am heading into immediate surgery. I truly don’t wish this upon anyone, but I believe in my creator and in the discipline of becoming the best player and version of myself from this experience. I am completely devastated with just one week away before reporting, but I would like to thank @auprobasketball for giving me more than an opportunity; they gave me purpose and hope in pursuit of my dream,” Gondrezick wrote on Instagram.
Fans will have to wait until the 2027 season to see Gondrezick back on the hardwood - assuming a WNBA team is willing to sign her.
