Former NFL quarterback and CBS broadcaster Tony Romo was arrested on Thursday night in Milwaukee.
According to WISN and FOX 6 Milwaukee, the authorities arrested Romo for operating while under the influence. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was heading southbound on I-43 when he was pulled over.
Romo, a four-time Pro Bowler with 34,183 career passing yards, reportedly "performed poorly" during his standard field sobriety tests on Thursday night.
"He was taken into custody for OWI book and release," WISN reported. "In Wisconsin, a first-offense OWI is generally a civil offense, not a criminal charge. The citation typically carries a fine ranging from $150 to $300."
Romo has already been released. As of now, he's due in court on Sept. 21.

What does this mean for CBS?
Romo joined CBS Sports in April 2017 and immediately became one of the most popular broadcasters in the NFL. Over the past few years, however, fans have criticized his skills in the booth.
"You’re live on air for three, three and a half hours every week,” Romo said, per Awful Announcing. "It’s like you’re probably going to do something right. I mean, we do more right than wrong; otherwise, you wouldn’t be in the position you’re in. But I think, like anything, you’re going to do something wrong. I just always want — in the back of your brain you’re literally thinking about you guys watching at home, and it’s like, what would I want."
While this situation isn't ideal for Romo, we'd imagine he'll remain the No. 1 color commentator for CBS.
