Green Bay Packers legend Ahman Green announced this week that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

Green, 49, started his career with the Seattle Seahawks in 1998 before being traded to the Packers two years later. He had an exceptional run in Green Bay, racking up 8,322 rushing yards and 2,726 receiving yards. Overall, the four-time Pro Bowler and Packers Hall of Famer had 12,088 scrimmage yards in the NFL.

During a recent interview with "Go Long" podcast host Tyler Dunne, the former All-Pro running back admit that he was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's in 2025.

"Last year, I got diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's. I had a little bit of the feet twitching when I'm in my sleep and stuff like that," Green told Dunne. "I knew something was going on long before that. I just got a hold of some doctors that I was able to get in contact with. Get the diagnostics, get the testing. And finally got it tested last — it was January of 2025."

Green didn't announce his diagnosis util now because he wanted to let his family know about his condition well before the rest of the world received this information.

"I didn't share it for a long time because I wanted to let my kids know, my family," Green continued. "I let them all know first before I told friends, family, somebody like yourself."

Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green runs though a hole in the Tampa Bay Buccanneer s defense for an 11-yard gain during the third quarter of their game on Sept. 25, 2005 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Tampa Bay won 17-16.
