Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason isn't thrilled with Chicago Sky star DiJonai Carrington, that's for sure.
During Saturday afternoon's game against the Indiana Fever, Carrington was ejected for a hard foul on Sophie Cunningham. She hit Cunningham right in the head and neck area as she was attempting a layup on a fast break.
Shortly after Carrington was sent to the locker room, she went on Threads and posted "White Privilege" in all caps.
Some people, including Esiason, are convinced that Carrington took a shot at Cunningham due to her recent comments about transgender inclusion in women's sports.
"She immediately gets on her phone and puts out a post on Threads talking about white privilege. How is everybody supposed to react to that? What are the opinions we are all supposed to have when you do something that stupid?" Esiason said, via OutKick. "I think because of the timeline of everything, because of, if you want to call it, the jealous nature, the legitimate hatred for somebody because of what they believe in and because of what they look like and because of how popular they are, I could say it's a targeted attack."

What did DiJonai have to say?
After a loss to the Seattle Storm on Monday night, Carrington said her foul on Cunningham wasn't intentional.
"It was unfortunate that I made contact with her in the way that I did, but it was never intentional," Carrington said, via the Chicago Sun-Times. "And, look, it might happen again. That’s just how I play. I’m gonna always go all out. I’m not gonna just let an open layup happen. But like I said, I’m never intending to hurt anybody, regardless of the outside noise or whatever the situation may be."
As for her controversial social media post, Carrington said she never claimed the foul was called due to white privilege.
"Try exercising your critical thinking skills, I know you studied psych. Furthermore, I'm the LAST thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on 'white privilege', do ya research on that one," Carrington wrote. "I actually went to school, one of the top universities might I add, to educate myself on this exact subject. I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon knowing the historical and social weight it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate it."
The Fever and Sky will meet again on Aug. 23. Make no mistake, there'll be plenty of eyes on Carrington and Cunningham.
