Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has firmly established herself as one of the biggest stars in basketball today. She is among the most recognizable names across both the NBA and WNBA.

Since being the first overall pick of the 2024 Draft, Clark has already become a three-time WNBA All-Star. She has also set numerous all-time records throughout her three years in the league.

Clark currently has career averages of 20.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Since Caitlin Clark joined the Fever, they have won at least 20 games in every season. The last time that the Fever won 20 games was in 2015. Indiana is also heading into its third straight playoff appearance this year.

However, there is always room for improvement, especially for the 24-year-old star. Clark’s former Fever teammate, Sydney Colson, talked about what she believes Clark needs to improve on as she progresses through her career.

“You gotta want to be great,” Colson said on Yahoo! Sports Daily. “You have to want to get better, see whatever the holes are in your game that people try to exploit and find a way to fix that.”

Colson, who suited up for Indiana last season, emphasized the need to take of care of one’s body.

“So watching what you eat, taking a lot of time to find the proper resources, the proper people to get you in shape, to get you mentally ready,” she continued. “Just really taking care.

“Taking advantage of everything that you have at your disposal to become better. And just using the offseason too, putting time into the holes that I spoke on before and fixing whatever it is in your game that you feel like needs work. Then come back the next season and find a way to no longer make it a weakness.”

Colson served as Clark’s backup in 2025. Unfortunately, both players suffered season-ending injuries.

Despite playing in only 13 games last year, the Clark reemerged as Indiana’s leader this season. The Fever currently hold a 25-14 record and have already secured their spot in the playoffs. They currently sit at the No. 5 spot in the WNBA standings.

With five games remaining, Indiana looks to finish strong and carry its momentum into the postseason.
