Former ESPN star Ron Jaworski is stepping down from his position ahead of the 2026 regular season.

He’s been working as an analyst for NBC Sports Philadelphia for several years. However, ahead of the 2026 NFL regular season, Jaws will be stepping down from his position, as he cuts back on his broadcasting work.

Jaworski announces he’s stepping down
Jaworski announced a statement on his decision.
“I want to sincerely thank NBC Sports Philadelphia for an incredible four years of being part of the Eagles pregame and postgame coverage,” he shared.
“I have decided it is time to cut back on my broadcast work and have made the decision not to return.
“A special thanks to my favorite teammates: Michael Barkann, Barrett Brooks, Reuben Frank, Jason Avant, and Amy Fadool for their passion, camaraderie, and friendship. I’m also grateful to Alex Matcham, Doug Brown, and Mike Mulhern for their strong leadership and support.
“It’s been a great run! Thank you all, and Go Birds!”
The Eagles, meanwhile, will be opening the 2026 NFL regular season on Sunday, against the Washington Commanders.
Philadelphia and Washington will be kicking off at 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
The Week 1 NFL regular season game will be airing live on FOX. It should be a fun one as the rivalries begin in the NFC East. Football is back, everyone.
