Former ESPN and Fox Sports 1 star Jason Whitlock is sounding off on Caitlin Clark.
Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has expressed a lot of frustration with the league's officiating over the years. The Indiana Fever guard has been imploring the league to do better.
"I got kneed right in the quad, that hurts, the ref can't miss that," she told reporters about some missed calls earlier this year.
"And then I have to play with a contusion in my leg for the rest of the game. Ridiculous, you can't miss calls like that."
But Whitlock, seen above in his "Fearless" show, has made it clear that he's not a big fan of Clark, who he thinks is just a "whiner."

While Whitlock hopes that Clark will win the WNBA MVP award, he can't help but criticize her emotions and behavior on the court.
“I hope Caitlin earns MVP and isn’t handed it for business purposes.”
“She’s improved with shot selection this year. But she’s been an emotional train wreck and a whiner. She walked off the court in the middle of a game and disappeared for 9 days… You can objectively root for Caitlin without destroying everyone. And you can criticize her immaturity and constant whining. It’s not betrayal. It’s a concern that she’s going to blow this amazing opportunity.”
Clark has had a big year. She's averaging 21.6 points, 8.0 assists, and 4.1 rebounds this season for the Fever. The Indiana WNBA franchise has the fourth-best record in the WNBA with a 19-10 mark.
However, Clark and the Fever have faced some scrutiny for their behavior toward WNBA officials this fall - and it's clear that Whitlock is of the belief that she's too much of a whiner right now.
