Former ESPN anchor Linda Cohn doesn't appear to be the biggest fan of DiJonai Carrington right now.
Carrington, a veteran WNBA guard for the Chicago Sky, was ejected from Saturday's loss to the Indiana Fever. Carrington was hit with a Flagrant 1 foul for her hit to the neck of Sophie Cunningham. Upon review, the foul was upgraded to a Flagrant 2 - and Carrington was ejected.
The veteran WNBA guard could face further punishment, in the form of a fine or suspension, as the league will continue to review the play.
But Carrington is getting defended by one significant figure: Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White.

White, who coached Carrington with the Connecticut Sun in 2023 and '24, came to her former player's defense.
“Yeah, I mean, look, it was a hard foul,” White told reporters postgame. “I don’t think that DiJonai intentionally came out to get her across the neck like she did. But it did happen and I thought it was the right call.”
White said that she "didn't oppose" the hard foul.
“One of the things about [Carrington] is that she’s gonna play her butt off, man,” White told reporters. “She’s gonna compete. Nobody’s gonna go walking in for a layup. And so, I don’t oppose the hard foul.”
Former ESPN anchor taunts Carrington
Former ESPN anchor Linda Cohn taunted Carrington after she posted again on social media.
Carrington wrote: "I’ve never once claimed that the assessment of the foul was white privilege (that was your assumption). Try exercising your critical thinking skills, I know you studied psych. Furthermore, I’m the LAST thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on “white privilege”, do ya research on that one. I actually went to school, one of the top universities might I add, to educate myself on this exact subject. I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon knowing the historical and social weight it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate it."
Cohn, who recently retired from ESPN, shared: "At least you have a fan in Fever Head Coach Stephanie White."
Fans are appreciating it.
"I love the retired Linda Cohn. Always been a great professional and trailblazer, but now you're fun and stating the obvious," one fan wrote.
