It is going to be interesting to see what North Carolina decides to do with Davis this offseason. He still under contract for four more seasons. If the Tar Heels do not decide to get rid of him this offseason, Davis will be on the hot seat right away during the 2026-2027 college basketball season.
If the Tar Heels do not go on an NCAA Tournament run next season if Davis returns, then it may be best for the program to move on from him. North Carolina has not had much NCAA Tournament success since losing to the Kansas Jayhawks in the NCAA title game in the 2021-2022 season.
