Now both teams will try to win the title in Monday’s national championship game as Michigan is looking for their first championship since 1989 while UConn is trying to win their third in the last four seasons.
While both teams are looking to cap their season with a championship on Monday night, both squads may be without one of their star players due to injury.
UConn Injury Report: Will Solo Ball Play?

This is great news for the Huskies, especially after guard Solo Ball showed up to Sunday’s media availability in a walking boot after tweaking his left foot in Saturday’s victory over Illinois.
Despite this, the 22-year-old junior guard is off the injury report and is expected to play against Michigan on Monday night.
Michigan Injury Report: Will Yaxel Lendeborg Play?
On the other side, Michigan has two players listed on their injury report, though star senior Yaxel Lendeborg is not one of them.

Of course, Lendeborg left Saturday’s victory over Arizona in the first half due to a sprained left ACL and left ankle sprain, though he was able to return in the second half, and he is off the injury report completely for Monday’s national championship game.
Michigan has ruled out L.J. Cason and Winters Grady for Monday’s game as they both continue to recover from injuries.
Fans can catch Monday night’s national championship game between UConn and Michigan from Indianapolis at 8:50 p.m. ET on TBS.
