Final Injury Report for Valkyries-Tempo: Will Kiki Rice, Brittney Sykes Play?

The Toronto Tempo are at home Wednesday night as they host the Golden State Valkyries in an interconference matchup.

Toronto enters Wednesday’s game with a 9-11 record after losing at home to the Dallas Wings Sunday afternoon.

In Sunday’s loss to the Wings, Marina Mabrey led the way for the Tempo as she recorded 19 points, five rebounds and five assists while Nyara Sabally added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists of her own.

The Tempo will try to bounce back and end their two-game losing streak Wednesday as they face off against the Valkyries in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Golden State enters Wednesday’s contest with a 15-7 record after defeating the Washington Mystics on the road Monday night.

Kaitlyn Chen led the way for the Valkyries in Monday’s victory as she ended the game with 14 points and four assists off the bench while Kiah Stokes recorded six points, nine rebounds and three blocks.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, one may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Valkyries Injury Report

The Valkyries have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out center Iliana Rupert.

Golden State has ruled out Rupert as she will miss the remainder of the season due to her pregnancy.

The Tempo have three players listed on their injury report, including Kiki Rice and Brittney Sykes.

Toronto has ruled out Rice due to a Grade 3 left ankle sprain as she will miss her 11th consecutive contest.

The Tempo have also ruled out Sykes as she will miss her sixth straight game with a left plantar fascia injury.

Temi Fagbenle has also been ruled out due to an eye injury as she will miss her second consecutive game.
