Golden State enters Friday’s game with a 16-7 record after defeating the Toronto Tempo on the road Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s victory over the Tempo, Janelle Salaun led the way for the Valkyries as she recorded 26 points and six rebounds off the bench while Kayla Thornton added 15 points and nine rebounds of her own.
The Valkyries will try to grab another victory and extend their winning streak to seven games Friday as they face off against a struggling Sun team on the road.
Connecticut enters Friday’s contest with a 5-17 record after losing at home to the Minnesota Lynx Wednesday night.

Leila Lacan led the way for the Sun in Wednesday’s loss as she ended the game with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists while Olivia Nelson-Ododa recorded 14 points and five rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

The Valkyries have ruled out Iliana Rupert as she will miss the remainder of the season due to her pregnancy.

The Sun have three players listed on their injury report, including Brittney Griner and Aneesah Morrow.

Connecticut has ruled out Griner due to a left quad strain as she will miss her second consecutive contest after she was a late scratch for Wednesday’s loss.
The Sun have also ruled out Morrow due to reconditioning after missing the last two games due to personal reasons.

Saniya Rivers has also been ruled out due to a left ankle sprain as she will be sidelined for the first time since June 26.
