The Miami Heat are at home Wednesday night as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves in their 2026-27 NBA season opener.

Miami enters the new season with high expectations after acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason following a season in which the Heat finished 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 43-39 record.

The Heat will try to start the season with a key victory Wednesday as they face off against the Timberwolves in a tough home matchup.

Minnesota enters the season with high expectations as well after acquiring LaMelo Ball in the offseason to pair alongside Anthony Edwards in the backcourt, as the Timberwolves try to improve on last season’s 49-33 record, which placed them sixth in the Western Conference.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Timberwolves Injury Report: Will Donte DiVincenzo Play?

The Timberwolves have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out Donte DiVincenzo.

Minnesota has ruled out DiVincenzo due to a torn right Achilles that he suffered during the playoffs last season.

Heat Injury Report: Will Bam Adebayo Play?

The Heat have three players listed on their injury report, though Bam Adebayo is not one of them.

Of course, Adebayo missed the final three games of the preseason due to right groin tightness but he is off the injury report and will play against the Timberwolves.

Miami has listed Vladislav Goldin as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and he is in danger of missing Wednesday’s game.

The Heat have listed Dru Smith as available and he will play despite dealing with a right calf strain while Myron Gardner is available despite a right ankle sprain.

Fans can catch Wednesday night’s matchup between the Timberwolves and Heat from Kaseya Center at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
