In Friday’s victory over the Mercury, Leila Lacan led the way for the Sun as she recorded 26 points, four rebounds and five assists while Brittney Griner added 12 points, six rebounds and four assists of her own.
The Sun will try to grab their third straight victory Sunday as they face off against the Mercury one again on the road.
Phoenix enters Sunday’s contest with an 8-18 record after losing at home to the Sun Friday night.

Kahleah Copper led the way for the Mercury in Friday’s loss as she ended the game with 21 points and three rebounds while Alyssa Thomas recorded 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Connecticut has listed Griner as probable, and she is expected to play despite dealing with a rib injury.
The Sun have also listed Edwards as probable due to a right knee injury and is expected to play against the Mercury.

Saniya Rivers has also been listed as probable, and she is expected to play after returning from a two-game absence due to a left ankle sprain in Friday’s victory.
Aneesah Morrow has been listed as questionable due to reconditioning and is in danger of missing her sixth consecutive contest.

The Mercury have two players listed on their injury report for Sunday, including forward Natasha Mack.
Phoenix has listed Mack as probable and is expected to return from an eight-game absence due to a left foot injury.
The Mercury have also listed Sami Whitcomb as probable due to left knee injury management, and she is expected to play.
