Final Injury Report for Spurs-Mavericks: Will Stephon Castle, Daniel Gafford Play?

The San Antonio Spurs are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Dallas Mavericks in a Western Conference matchup.

San Antonio enters Thursday’s game with a 34-16 record after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder at home on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s victory over the Thunder, Victor Wembanyama led the way for the Spurs as he recorded 22 points and 14 rebounds while Keldon Johnson added 25 points and six rebounds of his own off the bench.

Now San Antonio will try to grab another victory on the road on Thursday as they face off against a struggling Mavericks team.

On the other side, Dallas enters Thursday’s contest with a 19-31 record after losing at home to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

Cooper Flagg led the way for the Mavericks in Tuesday’s loss as he ended the game with 36 points, nine rebounds and six assists while Caleb Martin recorded 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Spurs Injury Report, Will Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper Play?

For the Spurs, they have five players listed on their injury report, including guard Dylan Harper.

San Antonio has listed Harper as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and he is in danger of missing his second consectuvie contest.

The Spurs have also listed Kelly Olynyk as questionable due to a left foot sprain while Luke Kornet has been ruled out due to left adductor tightness and left ankle soreness.

Jeremy Sochan and Lindy Waters III have also been ruled out as they continue to recover from injuries.

The good news for the Spurs is that Stephon Castle is off their injury report entirely after playing through a thigh injury on Wednesday night.

Mavericks Injury Report, Will Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington Play?

On the other side, the Mavericks have nine players listed on their injury report, including both Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington.

Dallas has listed Gafford as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and he is in danger of missing his first game since January 22.

If Gafford is sidelined, Dwight Powell and Moussa Cisse could both be in line for increased roles.

The Mavericks have also listed Brandon Williams as questionable due to a right lower leg contusion and he is in danger of missing his second consecutive contest.

Washington has been ruled out due to a concussion while Dereck Lively II and Kyrie Irving both remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.

Anthony Davis, Dante Exum, Jaden Hardy and D’Angelo Russell have been ruled out after they were traded to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday in a deal that is still pending.
