Final Injury Report for Rockets-Hornets: Will Coby White, Miles Bridges Play?

The Charlotte Hornets are at home on Thursday night as they host the Houston Rockets in an interconference matchup.

Charlotte enters Thursday’s game with a 26-29 record after defeating the Atlanta Hawks at home last Wednesday in their final game ahead of the All-Star break.

In Wednesday’s victory over the Hawks, Brandon Miller led the way for the Hornets as he recorded 31 points and nine rebounds while LaMelo Ball added 24 points, four rebounds and six assists of his own.

Now Charlotte will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Rockets in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Houston enters Thursday’s contest with a 33-20 record after losing at home to the Los Angeles Clippers last Wednesday in their last game before the All-Star break.

In Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers, Kevin Durant led the way for the Rockets as he ended the game with 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Alperen Sengun recorded 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, one side may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Rockets Injury Report: Will Dorian Finney-Smith Play?

For the Rockets, they have two players listed on their injury report for Thursday, though Dorian Finney-Smith is not one of them.

Of course, Finney-Smith missed their last game due to injury management but he is off the injury report and will return for their first game after the All-Star break on Thursday night.

Houston has ruled out Steven Adams as he is set to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing left ankle surgery earlier this season.

The Rockets have also ruled out Fred VanVleet as he remains sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the offseason.

Hornets Injury Report: Will Coby White, Miles Bridges Play?

On the other side, the Hornets have four players listed on their injury report, including both Coby White and Miles Bridges.

Charlotte has ruled out White as he continues to recover from a calf strain that has kept him from making his team debut after the Hornets acquired him from the Chicago Bulls ahead of the trade deadline.

With White still sidelined, Sion James and Tre Mann could both continue to have larger roles until the young guard is cleared to make his Hornets’ debut.

The Hornets have also ruled out Liam McNeeley as he continues to recover from a left ankle sprain.

Bridges and Moussa Diabate have also been ruled out as they will both serve their second game of their four-game suspension on Thursday night for their role in the altercation that took place during the matchup between the Hornets and Detroit Pistons ahead of the All-Star break.
